A wedding day is something that every girl have dreamed since very little. So you would think that princess Elizabeth Swan -Ops! Sorry- Keira Knightley’s wedding would be something like “expensive, glamour, over the top, lots of flowers, lots of guests, princess dress, shine jewelry and makeup”… Well it looks like she is no bridezilla, when she got married in 2013 with James Righton, , singer and keyboard player with pop band Klaxons, Keira made sure that none of these words fits on the description of her ceremony. The couple exchange vows in the Mazan town hall - Provence, south France - in front of only 11 guests.

"Keira looked emotional during the whole thing. She cried when they exchanged their vows but was still smiling” said a friend of the couple. “The ceremony occurred just before noon and lasted only about 30 minutes. Keira looked beautiful. She wore a very pretty, very classic dress.” Said another witness.

The actress made her special day in a very simple way, everything had to be gorgeous but basic.

On Keira Knightley’s wedding day, there was no limousine or white horse for the couple, they arrived in a silver Renault Clio. No big and puff dress for the bride, she got married in a strapless tulle dress by Chanel's Karl Lagerfeld, with a jacket. No high heels, just cute flats. No big and shine headpiece, only a small flower crown. No heavy makeup, almost none. And diamonds weren’t girls best friend that day, it was merely a sunglass. Which by the way, James wore one pair too to complete his outfit(navy suit and baby blue tie).

You would be surprised that her beautiful dress was also her something old for the wedding, oh yes, Keira had been photographed with it in 2008 in a pre-BAFTA party! And after the wedding, in 2014 she wore it again in a party. WHAT? And maybe it would be wore a lot of times later but now it is all covered in red wine, since friend accidentally spilled the wine on it. She probably could get the stains out, but Keira claims that she already had a lot of good memories with it and she is glad that it got destroyed in a night with friends(may it rest in peace). Isn’t she the cutest? Who can react like that when your wedding gown gets destroyed?! I think we have a lot to learn with her, don’t you think?

If you are not looking to spend a lot of money on your wedding day, you should learn somethings from Keira Knightley’s wedding. You can copy that look really easily and don’t expend too much. A white small dress with a lot of tulle can create a ballerina look, which is feminine and delicate. To go with the dress, wear ballet flats in a nude color(better if it’s white, but it’s really your choice!). And please, don’t forget the crown of flowers, little ones, it gives such an fairytale vibe.

Keira was not the only celebrity who wore a small dress on the wedding day. American television personality, fashion designer, and author, Whitney Port wore a high low cut gown. Super model Cindy Crawford chose a simple but gorgeous slipdress, and Natalie Portman went a little longer when she wore a beautiful tea-length white dress.
