Creating a wedding planning timeline may not be as easy as it may seem, need some tips or tricks? Read on for helpful advices on writing a timetable for your wedding.
You’ve been dreaming of this day for years and now that it’s finally here, yet you’re starting to panic. There are so many things left to do and forgetting about something could ruin your big day. Well, set those worries aside, this wedding checklist will make the final week before your wedding a breeze.
While you have most likely already decided on the suppliers you will be using for your wedding (if you haven’t you might be in for a rough time), it’s important to make sure they are on the same page as you are to avoid any mishaps from occurring on your big day. Your wedding checklist final week should include the following:
Confirm their pricing and make sure if any extra fees may be applicable to you.
Check that they have the correct address and that they know which times they will be expected to be there.
Make sure they have accurate instructions on how to reach the venue and that they will be able to find their designated parking spot easily.
It would be a good idea to give all of your suppliers the contact info of someone outside your bridal party, preferably a wedding planner. This way the suppliers will have someone else to contact when there is a problem and you won’t be distracted on your big day.
This can be planned long before the final week, but the last touches are usually done the day before the event. This wedding checklist final week will make it easier on whoever is in charge of decorating this venue.
In order to make things easier for the decorators, it would be a good idea to put everything that needs to go on a specific table in a box marked with that table number. In this way the decorators don’t have to guess about what should go where.
Remember to include all the basics in this box, including place cards, favors, menus, etc.
You must not forget to include a table plan for each table so the decorators know where each place card goes. Nothing can cause a bigger disaster than seating mishaps, make sure you spend some time on this one.
If you have a very specific idea about what you want your décor to look like, set it up exactly the way you want it at home and take a picture that you can show to the decorators.
Remember to give clear instructions regarding all aspects including how the wedding cake should be presented, where the guest book must be and how it should be decorated, where the gift table must be located, etc.
Now is the time to organize the cleanup. You are most likely going to be leaving for your honeymoon right away so asking a trusted friend or relative to take care of wedding gifts would be a good idea.
Now for the most important aspect of the wedding. No matter how beautiful your surroundings are, if you aren’t properly prepared, you will be a mess on your big day. Make sure to make the most detailed wedding checklist final week in order to ensure that you look and feel beautiful.
There is no worse feeling than the pinch of new shoes. Make sure that you wear your wedding shoes around the house for a few days before the wedding to make sure that they are comfortable and that you won’t be limping down the aisle.
Do all of your packing before the wedding. Scrambling for clothes an hour before you leave for your honeymoon is a recipe for disaster. If all of your packing is done, everything will run smoothly.
Make sure there are no labels on your bridal party’s clothing, including your own.
Pick up all the necessary garments at least a day in advance and fit them to make sure that there were no mishaps. Finding out that someone got the wrong size dress on the day of the wedding could lead to a very stressful experience.
The last thing a bride wants is to be stressed out. With an organized wedding checklist final week, stress and strain can be avoided, but there are a few other things you could do to be the best you on your big day.
Take the week off. If you’re stressed from work AND stressed about your wedding, you’ll end up neglecting both. Therefore, it’s best to take leave if possible.
Go to the spa with your friends (or alone) to truly unwind and feel relaxed. The best treatment to get would be a nice massage as it will soothe any muscles that have been affected by stress.
Exercise, but don’t overexert yourself. If you do dangerous exercises that result in an injury, it will only stress you out more. Instead, stick to exercises like Yoga or Pilates.
Spend some time alone in an aromatherapy bath. This will give you time to think and the aromatherapy will do you a world of good.
Stay hydrated. This will keep your skin looking radiant and will make you feel more energetic as well.
Take time to indulge in your hobbies. Whether it’s reading a book or watching reality TV, do something that you enjoy and that will make you unwind.
